These instructions accompany a downloadable software bundle posted at

http://dispimlineage.wormguides.org

Proper installation of the bundled programs and files onto a 64-bit Windows PC with a CUDA-enabled GPU card is required to follow the data processing protocol described in Duncan et al., JoVE 2019.  These steps take only a few minutes.

1. The bundle can be obtained directly from this link

                        downloadBundleFordiSPIMLineaging_ExtractIntoCdriveRootDirectory.zip

2.  Use right-click>Extract AllÉ to extract the zipped contents to the top-level folder C:\

3.  Navigate to the newly unpacked folder C:\CytoSHOWextrasForC\SNFeeder_compiled\packaged\ and double-click on the program SN_Feeder_Installer.exe

4. Accept license agreements and the series of prompts to install detect_track_driver_allmatlab.exe and the MATLAB Compiler Runtime at the default locations.  Both are free of charge and do not require the installation of MATLAB itself.

5.  Copy these two files to your Windows Desktop for easy access:

                        C:\CytoSHOWextrasForC\CytoSHOW_APP.jnlp

                        C:\CytoSHOWextrasForC\AceTree_16bitCompat.jar

6. Ensure that your PC has the proper version of Java installed.  The 64-bit Windows Java installer is at

                        https://javadl.oracle.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=236888_42970487e3af4f5aa5bca3f542482c60

7.   Once steps 1-6 are completed, use the link

                        http://run.cytoshow.org

or the Desktop icon

                        CytoSHOW_APP.jnlp

to launch CytoSHOW with the full diSPIM lineaging data pipeline enabled.
